A few friends have been asking me how my pregnancy has been going.\u00c2\u00a0 It’s going fine.\u00c2\u00a0 Besides being extremely hungry and tired for the first month or so, I’ve been feeling really good.\u00c2\u00a0 I have\u00c2\u00a0my energy back (although when I stay up too late, I pay for it the next day).\u00c2\u00a0 Sometimes, my hips and back get\u00c2\u00a0sore, but other than that, everything’s going great.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n
I’m over halfway done now, about 21-22 weeks along.\u00c2\u00a0 My doctor (and the ultra-sound) still put my due date at about November 11, but I think I’m going to be later than that (I was overdue and induced for my other two pregnancies).\u00c2\u00a0 My husband thinks I’m too sure of myself about that one – we’ve even got a wager going – if I haven’t had the baby 3 days after my due date, I win!\u00c2\u00a0 Although, it would be quite a novel thing to actually go into labour ‘naturally’.\u00c2\u00a0 We’ll have to wait and see what happens.<\/p>\n
I have a question – why do some people insist on telling you what’s happening in your own body and will even argue with you when you tell them you know the answer and its not what they’re suggesting?\u00c2\u00a0 For example, at the beginning, I was really, really tired.\u00c2\u00a0 People kept trying to tell me it was because of my two sons.\u00c2\u00a0 But it had nothing to do with them.\u00c2\u00a0 It’s just that the baby was sapping all my energy at that time.\u00c2\u00a0 My two boys are 10 and 6, and fairly self-sufficient.\u00c2\u00a0 I also have a very supportive husband who does lots with helping out in our family.\u00c2\u00a0 I could have used that excuse when I was a single parent, but it simply wasn’t the case now.\u00c2\u00a0 And yet people wouldn’t believe me when I told them that.<\/p>\n
\u00c2\u00a0Here’s another example: I’ve been feeling really good.\u00c2\u00a0 Somedays, I stay up too late on the computer or whatever and am tired the next day.\u00c2\u00a0 This is probably what would happen to just about anyone.\u00c2\u00a0 But all of a sudden, people are convinced its because of my pregnancy.<\/p>\n
\u00c2\u00a0I just don’t get it.\u00c2\u00a0 You’re pregnant and suddenly everyone’s an expert on a body other than their own.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
