‘Erratic’ – that’s my word for today.<\/p>\n
I am having contractions (they started yesterday afternoon), but they’ve been quite erratic.\u00c2\u00a0 Although they are doing something. \u00c2\u00a0I saw my doctor this morning and I am 3 cm dilated, so there’s hope that maybe we will have a newborn by the end of today.<\/p>\n
It’s been a bit frustrating.\u00c2\u00a0 Seeing as this is the first time I’ve gone into labour ‘naturally’, I’m finding this process to be taking longer than I thought it would.\u00c2\u00a0 With my other two, I was induced and for the most part things just progressed at a fairly steady pace.<\/p>\n
Last night everyone was ready for us to head to the hospital.\u00c2\u00a0 The kids’ bags were packed and ready to head to the babysitter.\u00c2\u00a0 My husband was all ready to get us out the door.\u00c2\u00a0 The kids were super-excited.\u00c2\u00a0 And then nothing happened.\u00c2\u00a0 My contractions stayed at 10 minutes apart and when I\u00c2\u00a0lay down, they basically stopped.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0So when I told my 6 year old this morning that there was no baby yet, his reaction was ‘psssfffttt!’<\/p>\n
As soon as I got up and moving this morning, the contractions came back.\u00c2\u00a0 So, ‘erratic’ is my word for today.\u00c2\u00a0 Hopefully things are going to start to progress soon.\u00c2\u00a0 Everyone is anxious to see this baby and getting impatient with the whole thing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
