Yesterday I went on an adventure with my boys (plus 2 others). We had tickets to go see Walking with Dinosaurs<\/a> in Edmonton with family, but due to something unexpected coming up, we had to shift our plans. So I left around 8:30am yesterday morning with the car loaded up with David and Matthew plus 2 of their friends and headed off to Edmonton (hubby and the baby stayed at home). We got to Edmonton, road the LRT (light rail transit)<\/a> to Rexall Place and watched Walking with Dinosaurs, which started at 3:00pm.<\/p>\n

It was an amazing show, with LIFE-SIZE dinosaurs walking around on the floor of the arena. I never imagined the T-Rex would be so BIG (I’m glad we don’t have any of those running around now!). If your child loves dinosaurs, I would highly recommend seeing this show. It’s going to be coming to Winnipeg at the end of December this year.<\/p>\n

Anyways, my sister (who lives near Edmonton) also came along and watched the show with us (which also helped with ‘crowd control’). After the show, we said goodbye to my sis, headed back on the LRT, picked up some supper and drove back to Saskatoon, arriving home around 11:30pm.<\/p>\n

It was one of those crazy spur-of-the-moment adventures (I planned the details in less than 2 days) and it was a lot of fun. Our portable DVD player decided not to work halfway through the first movie so I had to think of some creative ways to keep the kids entertained (especially on the way home when everyone was overstimulated from the show), but everything worked out really well. I didn’t even feel that tired driving home and I must say that Starbucks coffee mugs are awesome. They keep the coffee hot for a long time.<\/p>\n
