It is a time of new beginnings for me. My husband and I are entering into a new ministry opportunity and I will be starting work as a catering manager next week. I’ve been spending some time with God and this is what He’s been saying to me:<\/p>\n
“‘What does God want us to do?’ Jesus told them, ‘This is what God wants you to do: Believe<\/em><\/strong> (emphasis mine) in the one He has sent.'” John 6:28-29. I’m sure if I really really believed Jesus is who He said He is, I wouldn’t be afraid to step out of my comfort zone to follow Him.<\/p>\n “So now I am giving you a new comandement: Love each other<\/strong><\/em> (emphasis mine). Just as have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” John 13:34-35. Love is the key. So many times when there’s been tension in my relationships and I’ve asked what I should do, God has said over and over to just love the other person; and that’s always been the right thing to do.<\/p>\n “Through each<\/strong><\/em> (emphasis mine) day the Lord pours<\/strong><\/em> his unfailing love upon me<\/em><\/strong>,…” Psalm 42:8. And upon my children and upon my husband and upon my friends. Know that you are loved!<\/p>\n I was listening to a song this morning: “You Shine” by Brian Doerksen<\/p>\n
