“the two most powerful words where we’re in struggle: ‘me, too’ ” ~ Brene Brown (from “Listening to Shame”<\/a>)<\/p>\n

There’s so much I can say about this and I’m having trouble putting it all into words this evening.\u00a0 Those words, “me, too” mean so much to me.\u00a0 It means I am not alone.\u00a0 It means someone else has faced similar circumstances (and they’ve made it through them).\u00a0 Or perhaps they’re still in the midst of those circumstances and they’re still standing.\u00a0 I feel emboldened to continue on.\u00a0 If someone else has walked before me or is walking beside me then I can walk too.<\/p>\n

“Me, too” means someone understands.\u00a0 That I can pour my heart out without the fear of being judged for my words, my thoughts.\u00a0 It means a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear.<\/p>\n

Empathy is powerful.\u00a0 It connects us.\u00a0 It brings us hope and renews our strength.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
