{"id":1531,"date":"2013-04-09T23:24:50","date_gmt":"2013-04-10T05:24:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/songofjoy.ca\/?p=1531"},"modified":"2013-04-09T23:24:50","modified_gmt":"2013-04-10T05:24:50","slug":"a-letter-to-my-fears","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/songofjoy.ca\/?p=1531","title":{"rendered":"A letter to my fears"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was inspired by <a href=\"http:\/\/freshflowers01.blogspot.ca\/2013\/04\/dear-chihuahua-of-fear-i-surrender.html?m=1\">Fresh Flowers<\/a> today and thought I would write my own letter. <\/p>\n<p>To my fears,<\/p>\n<p>I know there are days when you get the better of me (like today) but you know what? That&#8217;s ok. You can try and knock me down and you might even keep me there for a while.  But I won&#8217;t stay there. You know why?  Because deep down inside I know I am loved and accepted by the God of the universe. And He accepts me even when I give in to my fears. I am not a disappointment to Him. <\/p>\n<p>Though I forget it at times, deep down I know that &#8220;I am enough&#8221; (thank you, <a href=\"http:\/\/traceyclark.com\/iamenough\/2010\/05\/25\/i-am-enough-from-brene-brown.html\">Brene Brown<\/a>).  I am in process. In the process of walking out from under shame (and from that, fear) into the Truth of the Light that says I.am.loved&#8230;period&#8230;no strings attached&#8230;no requirements to live up to. And when I sit in that Truth fear has no grip on me. It can&#8217;t. &#8220;There is no fear in love&#8230;&#8221; (1 John 4:18). <\/p>\n<p>So take your best shot, fears.
