We are all broken people…in need of grace.<\/p>\n
I was reminded of this a number of times this week.\u00a0 Through a blog post here<\/a>.\u00a0 Through an article here<\/a>.\u00a0 When my son completely “lost it” on me and I “lost it” back.\u00a0 When my husband shared his experience of this week.\u00a0 When I was tired and in pain.<\/p>\n We harbour such weakness wrapped up in our facade of strength.\u00a0 Though sometimes it is a facade, it is not always so.\u00a0 We are<\/strong> strong…in many ways.\u00a0 The human heart can be incredibly resilient.\u00a0 But it is not invincible.\u00a0 Each of us carries our own unique mixed bag of triggers which we have accumulated through our life experiences, genetics, and personalities.\u00a0 Our weakness becomes apparent when these triggers are hit.<\/p>\n We are all broken people…in need of grace.<\/p>\n I find it comforting that we are all in this together.\u00a0 I am not alone or unique in my weakness.\u00a0 All humanity shares in this affliction.\u00a0 It does not matter the nationality, race, or religion.\u00a0 It makes no difference.\u00a0 We are all broken.<\/p>\n And we are all forgiven.\u00a0 We are all loved.\u00a0 All humanity shares in this consolation.\u00a0 Though we are broken, we have been given grace.<\/p>\n I do not have to make myself “perfect”.\u00a0 It would be impossible anyways (though I tried to do this for many years).\u00a0 It is better for me to accept who I am…all of who I am.\u00a0 My weakness and my strength.\u00a0 I’m finding as I do this (and it is a process) God’s grace is able to heal my brokenness (that’s a process too, a process I believe will continue until I die).\u00a0 The more this happens, the more I experience the wonderful love of God…right in the midst of my brokenness.<\/p>\n I do not need to fear or disdain my brokenness for it is there that I see God.\u00a0 And He is good and loving and full of grace.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
