So…at house church this evening a friend was mentioning someone she knows who is celebrating “50 days of fun” leading up to her 50th birthday.\u00a0 And I realized that today is 40 days until my 40th birthday.\u00a0 So I’m going to try my own “40 Days of Fun”, which will be a stretch for me because I’m don’t automatically think of all the “fun” things I can do – I’m more likely to think of all the things that need to get done instead (and not to waste too much time doing things that are “fun”).<\/p>\n

#40: “Sunday Morning Soak”<\/p>\n
This is a fairly regular ritual for me…and its fun.\u00a0 Because our ‘church’ happens on Sunday evenings, I take Sunday mornings to have a nice hot bath and read.\u00a0 Sometimes it’s with candles and relaxing music.\u00a0 Not this morning, but I did have a nice hot soak and read a couple of chapters of “A Girl Named Grace”<\/a> which is a pretty good book so far.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
