Another room down, one left to go

So…

I have one month left until I go back to work (September 17 to be exact). Over the past month I have been trying to finish up some organizing projects so everything can be in order when I head back. Today I finished the boys’ toyroom. I even took pictures to document it. 🙂 toyroom-1.jpgtoyroom-2.jpgtoyroom-3.jpg

When I took my boys down to the toyroom to see what it looks like to be able to SEE THE FLOOR, I told them I wanted the room to look like that every night when they go to bed. My youngest boy thought I should take pictures and post them on the wall of the toyroom to help them remember (too funny!).

The only room left that needs a major organizing overhall is the office. Which makes me happy. I always feel better when things are organized and I know where everything is. After the office, there are still a few ‘zones’ that need some purging and organizing (like my bedroom dresser, the shelf in the kitchen, and the laundry room) which shouldn’t take long.

However, there is yet one major project yet to be done:

It took what felt like forever for my wonderful hubby to take this thing apart when we moved. Many of the screws were stripped so he had to take a hacksaw to them and there were lots and lots of screws in that thing (besides the huge bolts). I had spent a large portion of my income tax rebate to buy that thing one summer and it took more than a few days to put it together. I didn’t want to leave it behind. My husband still bears the emotional scars from the dismantling ordeal (which means to say he is not touching that thing) so its up to me and my oldest boy to put it together. And we’ve got less than two weeks left before he heads off to school. I’m pretty sure that if we don’t get the play yard up now, it will never be put together. I’m not going to want to tackle that monstrosity on my measly two weeks of holidays next summer, that’s for sure. So pray for us! The adventure continues…
