“In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer.” – Albert Camus

I am in a season of “winter”. It is a season of pain and sadness, of discovery and healing. I have suffered trauma and it has impacted me in far deeper ways that I ever understood. In this hard, hard time I yearn for my “invincible summer”.

It’s time for me to begin sharing my journey with others. My hope is to encourage those who may resonate with my story, to perhaps provide some understanding, some resources, and some empathy.

DISCLAIMER: I share my story of processing trauma as a lay person only. I am not a practitioner and anything I may have learned should not be considered prescriptive. If you have suffered trauma or think you might have, please talk to your doctor or a health care professional.
