I am once again at peace with my hair. It took some drastic measures, but now all is well.

Prior to my transformation my hair was long and curly/wavy and entirely FRIZZY!!! Now that my hair has been chemically straightened, the frizz is gone and I am a happy woman. All I have to do now is throw a bit of product in my hair, blow dry (or air dry), hairspray (optional) and I’m good to go. Hurray!
YAY!!!!
I was thinking of calling you this week… but I see now that all is well!
🙂
Thanks again.
You’re my favorite hairdresser…ever!
She ranks pretty high on my list too! 🙂
Looks awesome Carol! Couldn’t get over how YOUNG you looked when you came.
Oh yeah . . . Jilla RULES!
Looks good, Carol. How long will the straightening last? Does it act the same way as a perm, but opposite?
We’ve got to get together soon.
Take care!
I’ve heard alot of this jilla….so this is her work! GOOD JOB!!!! looks awesome! I didn’t know thatyour hair was so frizzy naturally. did you have a perm or something to make it this way, or was your hair like that naturally?
Kim,
Yes, it’s just like a perm (only wth the opposite result), so I’ll be having this hair for a while.
And I agree, we have GOT to get together soon. I’ve been thinking of calling you. I will have NO kids from this Saturday, August 2 to Wednesday, August 6 (and I’m not working for those days either), so let me know if we can get together during this time.
And for anyone else in blogland that would like to go out for coffee (Sarah? Ninette? Sherry?) the above offer goes for you, too. I would love to get together with my friends.
Sarah, with regards to my hair – I had straight hair until I hit puberty. Ironically, I got my first perm in Grade 5 and then it just stayed (sort of). I remember asking my grandmother several months after I’d got my perm when the perm would be gone and she told me it was no longer perm – I had naturally curly hair. I was SO disappointed. I really liked my straight hair and now I had something that would curl one way on one side and anther way on the other side. But my hair wasn’t frizzy then. No, the frizz came when I got GRAY hair (and I have LOTS of it – its been years since I haven’t colored my hair and if I were to stop coloring it now, the whole top of my head and sides would be very gray – my aunt had completely white hair by the time she was 30!) As I’ve been growing my hair out the longer it gets the frizzier it gets. So drastic measures had to be taken. I was actually planning on just chopping it all off and going back to the ‘Trinity’ look when Jilla suggested trying this route. I’m so glad she did!
Awe man. I wish I was going to be in Saskatoon then. But I’m not. And I wasn’t. Both. Sickie.
