#20: Movie Night with my Children

Back in the day when I was a single mom Friday night was always movie night with my boys. I’d bake a pizza and we’d watch a movie. Time spent with my children…bonding time…but the real reason was that by the time I hit Friday I was so worn out I didn’t have the energy for anything but pizza and a movie.

That being said, I do enjoy watching movies with my kids. It hasn’t happened much lately, where ALL my children watch a movie together. There’s too big of an age spread (16, 12, and 6). It’s next to impossible to find a movie we all can (and want to) watch together. Tonight we found one: The Adventures of Tin-Tin. And everyone enjoyed the movie. Yay!

So today when we stopped at Co-op to pick up scotch tape and milk we walked out with almost $100 in groceries. There were so many things we just haven’t had for a while (like Hamburger Helper and Shreddies). We must have sounded odd to anyone in ear shot: “Hamburger Helper! I remember that! Look at the Shreddies! I haven’t had that in ages.” So, yeah, that was fun.

And while we were shopping at Co-op I discovered this:

I love Fortune Cookies. I’ve never seen them come in a box before. I was so excited.
