#21: Guilt-free Video Game Night

I very rarely play video games…but that doesn’t mean I don’t like playing them. You see, I have a bit of a mental block when it comes to video games. It seems like such a ‘frivolous’ way to spend time that I hardly ever do it. Not that I don’t think it’s ok for everyone else to play – I have no problems with that. It’s just that, for some reason, I don’t think that applies to me.

So this evening my husband blessed me with a ‘guilt-free’ video game night. He handled the kids and I holed up in our bedroom playing ‘Oblivion‘. I have also enjoyed playing ‘Kingdom Hearts‘ and although I haven’t really played them I’m sure I’d enjoy the Lego Star Wars and Harry Potter games. Oh, and I also like ‘Gran Turismo‘.

  1. I did a couple hours of Super Mario Bros. with Ben this afternoon, but that game makes me TENSE. I like Lego Star Wars too, but the boys rush me through so fast… If I had the chance to play by myself I’d pick Zelda. I remember before we had kids we played hours and hours of Zelda….

  2. Oh, I’d forgotten about Zelda! Zelda is definitely on my list of games I enjoy. Maybe the moms should have their own video games night – the husbands watch the kids and we play.
